Account and Data Deletion — Homeshelf (집선반)
How to delete your Homeshelf account and data
Homeshelf works without signing in. If you never signed in there are no records of yours on a server, so deleting the app deletes everything.
If you have used cloud sync (Google sign-in), you can delete the account and data on the server in either of the ways below.
Option 1 — in the app (recommended)
- Open Homeshelf.
- Tap Settings › Cloud account › Manage account › Delete account.
- Read the notice and confirm.
Option 2 — without the app (by email)
Send the following to allegru.dev@gmail.com.
- Subject: "Homeshelf account deletion request"
- Body: the Google account email address you signed in with
We handle it within 10 days of receiving it and reply with the outcome. If you also want the sign-in account (the email) deleted, write "delete the sign-in account too" in the body — we handle it in this order: verify it's you → leave this app → delete the sign-in account. To confirm the request comes from the account holder we reply to that email address, and delete only after that exchange.
What is deleted · what remains
| Data | After deleting the account |
|---|---|
| The link between this app and your account (family list membership, synced records, display name within the family) | Deleted |
| The sign-in account (email, Google display name) | Remains — it is a sign-in shared by several apps. We delete it on request (Option 2 · steps: verify it's you → leave this app → delete the sign-in account) |
| Server records of a list you used alone (items, spaces, dates, movements, photos) | Deleted |
| Records you put into a family list | Remain in the family list — they are the family's shared records and the others keep using them. Your name on changes becomes "Removed family member" and your display name is erased [OWNER DECISION: whether to allow asking for them to be removed] |
| The owner role | If there are other members it passes to whoever joined first |
| Payment verification records (receipt number and so on) | Kept with the account identifier erased — what remains is the receipt number and the shape of the transaction, so it cannot be traced to a person. Kept 5 years to handle payment disputes |
| The trial record | The account is stored as a one-way value (a hash) — it cannot say who you are, only whether it is the same account. Kept 1 year so the trial is given only once. If you sign up again after it has been cleared, you can get a trial again |
| The records on this phone | Remain — to remove them from the phone, delete the app or delete them in the app yourself |
| Google Play purchases and subscriptions | Stay in your Google Play account (managed by Google) |
- Timing: deleting in the app happens immediately; an email request is handled after we confirm it's you. Copies left in server backups disappear within [TO CONFIRM: Supabase backup retention — check when applying remotely].
- The sign-in account is part of a sign-in system shared by several apps, so "Delete account" in the app means leaving Homeshelf. If you want the sign-in account and the email deleted as well, please ask for that in the same email.
⚠️ Please cancel the subscription separately
Deleting your account does not cancel your Google Play cloud subscription. To stop being billed, cancel the Homeshelf subscription in Play Store › profile › Payments and subscriptions › Subscriptions.
A subscription belongs to the family list, so even if you subscribed as the owner and then deleted your account, billing continues until you cancel and the family list stays subscribed.
If you want to keep the account and only tidy up data
| What you want | How |
|---|---|
| Just stop syncing | Sign out (Settings › Cloud account › Manage account › Sign out) — server records remain and resume when you sign in again |
| Only leave the family list | Family screen › Leave the family list — the list as it stands (photos, once downloaded) stays on this phone, and the family list shows you as "{display name} (left)". An owner hands the owner role over first |
| After a subscription ends | Server records are destroyed automatically 6 months after the expiry date |
